The Beauty of Purpose

Ambassador

As a mental health specialist, mother, former Mrs. World, and lifelong advocate for meaningful change, I hold a deep conviction: what life gives us unfolds its greatest power when we choose to share it.

My commitment to charitable work is rooted in a guiding principle: every individual carries the potential to grow, to evolve, and to make a contribution. Whether it is a child in crisis, a veteran carrying invisible wounds, or a young woman in search of purpose and voice – each deserves to be seen, supported, and empowered.

As an ambassador for initiatives such as Pink Ribbon, Island Dolphin Care, and Ganymed – with a focus on developmentally supportive, often animal-assisted interventions – I advocate for a more accessible, compassionate, and human-centered approach to mental health. For me, it is not solely about providing support during difficult times, but about encouraging people to rediscover their inner strength.

Social engagement is not a side project – it is a fundamental part of my identity. It serves as a reminder, to myself and to others, that true leadership is not defined by status, but by service. That healing is not only a clinical process, but a deeply human one. And that the most powerful gift we can offer one another is the belief that every person matters – and holds something of value to offer the world.

This sense of purpose and connection informs every aspect of my work and life: raising awareness, fostering clarity, and walking alongside others as they begin to recognize – and embody – their own potential.

Pink Ribbon &
Bettertogether

Pink Ribbon represents hope and awareness in the field of breast cancer. In my role as ambassador, I actively contribute to education and advocacy efforts that aim to improve the lives of those affected – patients and families alike.

My engagement is rooted in the desire not only to raise awareness, but to offer meaningful support during times of vulnerability. With Pink Pony – a project offering animal-assisted interventions for breast cancer patients and their families – I am committed to creating spaces of care, dignity, and strength.

Together with distinguished ambassadors from the realms of sport, the arts, media, business, and leading professionals from a range of disciplines, we work collaboratively on Germany’s bettertogether initiatives. Our goal: to provide knowledge, build community, and offer tangible ways for people to engage and contribute.

Island Dolphin Care

Since 2016, I have served as an intern & volunteer with Island Dolphin Care in Florida – an organization that offers animal-assisted therapy for children with severe disabilities and war veterans coping with trauma. This work resonates deeply with me, as I have witnessed how animals can contribute to healing on emotional, psychological, and physical levels, enhancing quality of life in profound ways.

Island Dolphin Care seamlessly integrates therapeutic support with educational outreach. The organization fosters individual well-being, but also raises awareness for animal welfare and ocean conservation. Through thoughtfully designed learning programs, the organization empowers people of all ages to embrace sustainability, compassion, and a shared responsibility for the future of our planet. Supporting this mission allows me to stand for something greater than myself – the belief that healing and stewardship can go hand in hand, and that both begin with awareness and care.

Gut Gany Med

In collaboration with Gut GanyMed, I support animal-assisted interventions for children with developmental and therapeutic needs across Germany. This initiative harnesses the healing bond between humans and animals to enhance the lives of children with special challenges – and I am honored to be part of this exceptional project.

The visionary behind GanyMed is Eva Theune, whose unique concept brings together a wide spectrum of therapies – from speech and language support to physiotherapy and occupational therapy – meeting children and families precisely where they are. In a respectful and nurturing environment, professional expertise and heartfelt care are combined with the therapeutic presence of animals, creating a setting where progress is made possible through teamwork, trust, and a multimodal approach.

Exciting changes lie ahead in 2025, as GanyMed prepares to relocate and potentially expand its reach even further.

As an ambassador for Pink Ribbon, Island Dolphin Care, and GanyMed, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals in vulnerable life situations. These initiatives are far more than professional responsibilities – they reflect my personal values and convictions. All three are rooted in a central theme that has shaped my own journey: the developmental and life-enhancing bond between humans and animals.

This connection not only informs my professional path but was also the foundation of my passion for equine-assisted therapy, the beginning of my riding career, and ultimately the driving force behind my charitable engagement.

“Horses respond in a uniquely sensitive way to human emotion and body language, allowing for an interaction that is both immediate and authentic,” explains Dr. Julia Schnelle, specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. “They promote empathy, trust, and self-awareness – in both children and adults. Horses are large and powerful, yet perceptive and gentle, which enables a relationship that can be both calming and empowering. They often mirror the emotional state of the person they are interacting with. Unlike humans, they remain in the present moment and do not judge by societal standards. Horses are inherently nonjudgmental. Their open, curious, and approachable nature makes them ideal partners in therapeutic work.”

My engagement in these organizations reflects a deep belief: that meaningful change begins where compassion and support come together – for both people and animals. Through my work with Pink Ribbon, GanyMed, and Island Dolphin Care, I have the privilege of turning this belief into practice – enriching individual lives while contributing to positive, lasting change on a broader scale.
